Abstract

The objective of this paper was to introduce the Egwaider type-III (EGW-III) distribution, a novel semi-finite discrete probability distribution with potential real-world applications. Derived as a special case of the Egwaider distribution with a semi-finite support, the properties of the suggested distribution were thoroughly investigated. Various special cases of the distribution were derived and illustrative examples featuring different parameter values were presented. Finally, the discussion and conclusion were given.
