It was my great pleasure and honor to participate in the workshop titled “Measuring the Performance of Science, Technology, and Innovation Institutions in Arab Countries,” which was organized by the Arab League for Science, Technology, and Innovation Observatories in collaboration with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils and the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. My presentation titled “Measuring Science, Technology, and Innovation in Libya: Valuation, Challenges, and the Way Forward” and focused on the relationship between science and technology, their joint relationship with innovation, and the role of innovation in economic growth and development. Additionally, I provided a summary of the current activities of the Libyan Observatory for Science, Technology, and Innovation Indicators, which I lead, and presented a roadmap for moving forward with this initiative. مشاركتي في ورشة العمل: “قياس أداء مؤسسات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار في الدول العربية” التي نظمتها الرابطة العربية لمراصد العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار بالتعاون مع اتحاد مجالس البحث العلمي العربية و مع أكاديمية البحث العلمي والتكنولوجيا بجمهورية مصر العربية. قدمت في هذه الورشة عرض تقديمي بعنوان ” قياس العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار في ليبيا : التقييم و التحديات والطريق إلى الأمام”. ركزت فيها على علاقة العلوم بالتكنولوجيا ، وعلاقتهما بالابتكار . ودور الابتكار في النمو الاقتصادي والتنمية . تضمن العرض ملخص لأنشطة المرصد الليبي لمؤشرات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والابتكار الحالية و خارطة الطريق للمضي قدماً بهذا المشروع الذي تحدث عنه المختصون و وصفوه بأنه إنجاز يحتسب لدولة ليبيا.
